A Review of The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology Embryo Grading System and Proposed Modification
The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) method of embryo grading is unique, simple, and widely practiced, and its use has been mandatory for SART membership programs since 2010. Developed by SART in 2006, the current embryo grading system categories, “good, fair, and poor,” are limited because they do not describe the best 1-2 embryos in the interest of keeping pace with the shi...
متن کاملNew Method of Dispersion Correction in the Pep-ii Low Energy Ring
The sextupole magnets in the Low Energy Ring (LER) of PEP-II are grouped in pairs with a phase advance of 180 degrees. Displacing the magnets or moving the orbit to displace the beam in the magnets in an antisymmetric way creates a dispersion wave around the ring. This can be used to correct the vertical dispersion in LER without changing the local coupling. Results from simulations are shown.
متن کاملProposed Vertical Expansion Tunnel
It is proposed that the adverse effects from secondary diaphragmrupture in an expansion tunnelmaybe reducedor eliminated by orienting the tunnel vertically, matching the test gas pressure and the accelerator gas pressure, and initially separating the test gas from the accelerator gas by density stratification. This proposed configuration is termed the vertical expansion tunnel. Two benefits are...
متن کاملOptics Characterization and Correction at Pep-ii
The linear optics of both the high energy ring (HER) and low energy ring (LER) for SLAC’s PEP-II B-Factory were characterized with two algorithms: analysis of the measured closed orbit response matrix and analysis of betatron phase advance measurements. The results of the two analyses were in good agreement. When the HER was first run in a low optics in autumn 1997, the measured functions showe...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
